The press knives produced by Deszán Ltd. are tools which can cut different materials: textiles, leather, foam, etc. into different shapes. Cutting usually takes place on hydraulic cutting machines.
The press knives are made to the qualifications set by the customer, such as contour, number, and other accessories ex. (hole punches, needles, etc.)
Deszán Ltd.’s press knives can be applied in any areas where a large number (several thousand) pieces must be produced in a short amount of time.
Usual areas of use:
The press knives produced by the Deszán Ltd. are always made to the customer’s specifications using the cutter profile provided by the customer. If no other requirements are made, the Deszán Ltd. uses cutter steel produced by the Austrian MARTIN MILLER GmbH.
Press knives can cut anything from textile through foam to leather. The perfectly heat treated and sharpened blade ensures that the cutter will handle the several thousand cuts endured when the right technology is applied.
The Deszán Ltd. produces matrix tools according to customer specifications in spring loaded and two sheet formats. The punches needed for the production of matrix tools are manufactured by Deszán Ltd. using forging techniques.

Our partners usually send their press knife orders through the internet. The production of the templates takes place after a computerized preparation on flatbed cutters. The Deszán Ltd. has two such cutters, MUCAD TA-10ROA and a ZÜND M1200.
File formats, sizes
The template cutting table is controlled by 2D Utilites software, which can accept CUT, DXF, SEMI file formats.
The ZÜND M1200 flatbed cutter has a 1200 x 1200 mm, and the MUCAD TA-10 ROA flatbed cutter has a 1100 x 1100 mm cutting area.
Materials, precision
Based on your requirements we can cut several paper types. Cutting is done by knife up to 0.4 mm thickness, and by oscillating knife up to 0.8 mm thickness.
The use of oscillating knifes makes it possible to cut 0.4 mm aluminum core paper, which is used when cutting automotive templates due to its excellent ability to maintain its size.
The precision of the flatbed cutter is 0.01 mm.
Labeling
After cutting, we label the templates, which can contain any kind of information, model number, model name, size.
In addition to labeling we can also draw lines, zone borders for example.
The hand and machine marking templates are necessary components of shoe production. Thus in addition to producing press knives, and in order to meet customer demands Deszán Ltd. can also produce these templates.
Etalon (cutting control) templates are mostly produced for the automotive industry.

Etalon templates are milled from clear 1 mm PE or PC material, the name of the part (cutting blade for example) is labeled on this material.

For contracted partners during the patterning and the serie test, before the ordering the press knives, we provide the new shoe model's parts cutted directly in the laser leather cutter. This significantly speeds up the testing, and modelling time as well.
The customer must provide the shape of leather parts in electronic data format. Deszán Ltd. is able to accept the usual data formats, but assume the paper shapes is to digitize.
During shoe production an important step is the clamping of the toe and the heel. These steps are completed on the so called toe and heel clamping machines. The Deszán Ltd. produces the PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) toe and heel clamping tool necessary for this process.
Thank to PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)’s excellent properties, the tool produced by Deszán Ltd. with the help of heat and pressure, irons the leather upper to the last, thus ensuing that the leather keeps its shape. The pressure produces a sharp contour on the last, which helps the precise fitting of the sole as well.

The product marking activity of Deszán Ltd.'s partners is supported by metal stamp production. These metal stamps' prints on the product's leather surfaces (vamp, insole, bags, seat covers etc.), textile parts (insole, inner liner etc.) should be several of the manufacturer or distributor firms characterized, mostly proprietary (patented) logos, customer information pictograms, codes (commercial, logistics, with marketing purposes, etc.) as well as text information can be aesthetically and spectacularly shown, pursuant to which the customer can immediately know what brand and quality of product purchase.
